A Place Built for Children to Flourish—and Parents to Feel at Ease

Keystone Kidz was founded on a simple belief: children deserve safe, joyful, enriching care, and parents deserve complete confidence in the people caring for them.

Our Story

A Parent’s Perspective Became a Purpose

With the support of her husband, Eric, Marcy Kantz opened the first Keystone Kidz Child Care Center in Meadville in October 2020. Her vision was shaped by her own experience as a mother: create a safe, nurturing, and enriching place where children are cared for with high expectations and parents can move through their day with peace of mind.

The center quickly became known for its caring environment and strong team. As Keystone Kidz grew, so did its commitment to raising the bar—not only for what children experience in the classroom, but also for how educators are supported, how families are communicated with, and how each center contributes to its community.

In late 2023, Marcy expanded Keystone Kidz with a second location in Fairview. Today, both centers share the same purpose: to pour into the lives of children, build trusted relationships with families, and create workplaces where passionate early childhood professionals can flourish too.

Meet the Founder

Marcy Kantz

Before entering early childhood education, Marcy earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and began a career in air traffic control. When she became a mother, her priorities changed. She spent 18 years at home raising her four children—an experience that gave her a deep appreciation for family life and a new passion for child care and education.

After returning to the workforce in 2017, Marcy felt called to build something of her own. She began working toward the first Keystone Kidz center in 2019 and opened in downtown Meadville the following year.

Today, Marcy is a mother of four and grandmother who remains closely connected to the children, parents, directors, and educators within Keystone Kidz. For her, providing excellent child care is more than a business. It is the rewarding work of helping children thrive and giving parents the confidence that their child is in capable, caring hands.

Mission, Vision & Philosophy

Our Mission

To provide the highest-quality child care—the next best thing to being cared for by a child’s own family—through safe environments, passionate educators, meaningful learning, and a wholehearted commitment to every child we serve.

Our Vision

To build lasting trust in the communities we serve by helping raise respectful, thoughtful, confident children with inspired minds and a strong foundation for the future.

Our Philosophy

Children flourish when the adults around them are caring, capable, supported, and excited about the work they do. That is why we are intentional about hiring “kid-crazy” team members, investing in strong leadership, and creating healthy environments where educators and children can thrive together.

Our Values

Children First

Every decision begins with what helps children feel safe, connected, capable, and excited to learn.

Relationships Matter

Secure relationships with educators and strong partnerships with families create the foundation for meaningful growth.

Raise the Bar

We do not settle for going through the motions. We continually strengthen the quality of our care, classrooms, communication, and team.

Learning Through Experience

Children learn by doing. Our educators use play, conversation, routines, creativity, and hands-on discovery to make learning meaningful.

Respect and Kindness

We model and teach respectful communication, thoughtful choices, empathy, cooperation, and being a good friend.

A Place to Flourish

We want children and educators alike to feel valued, supported, challenged, and proud of the progress they make.

Passionate Educators Make Exceptional Care Possible

Our administrators, lead teachers, assistants, and support team bring Keystone Kidz to life every day. We look for educators who combine professionalism with warmth—people who notice the small moments, celebrate progress, communicate openly, and genuinely enjoy helping children learn.

Behind each classroom is a leadership team committed to maintaining high standards, supporting educators, and creating the consistency families rely on.
